Zap stands for 'Zapped Artificial Picture', a collage made of Internet images. A Zap translates a set of words or a text into an image which reflects the visual representation of the words on the Internet.
This web application, Zap Machine, needs a number of words as input. It then takes the most relevant image that search engine Google Image Search comes up with (Yahoo API is also posible). After having collected all images the ZapMachine creates a given number of different collages from these images.
ApFab ZapMachine is licensed under GPLv3.
- a changelog
- new directory structure
- separate configuration class
- log download data in sqlite database; makes it posible to display this data in an interface
- debug mode: loads image zap.php state by state outside interface by the refresh function of the browser
- no userInputMode: use manualy prepared Session directory that contains image files as collage material
- improved error handling: no hits on an input word or a bad filetype (after 3 attempts) gives a dynamic generated error image
- moved width and height adjustmenst for final zap from interface to config class
- bug fixed in zap.php: final zap (collage # 00) only processes one image. Now ends with a completed collage # 01. Used if((empty ($_SESSION['images'])) && ($_SESSION['collages']==1) ) in stead of (if $_SESSION['collages'] < 1)
- bug fixed in ImgSearch class: it crashed if the url of the original image had no filename but ends with a '/' (http://xx.yy.zz/). Now it test for that.
- posibility to save every state of the collage
